Hi there! I am Patricia Braga, an experienced illustrator and graphic designer, born and raised in Brazil and currently based in Montreal, Quebec. Althought I have degrees as software engineering and social communication, the arts have been my passion forever. since I was a child, the arts have been my true passion, which allowed me to translate my imagination into a piece of art. I work with traditional and digital arts and I am inspired by everything, from the smallest detail in a beautiful scene to a remarkable character from a movie. I've been mostly focused on children's books illustrations, because I know how important and impacting are the books in a child's life, and I love the idea of be part of it.
Don’t hesitate in contacting me if you wish to hire me for any illustration projects!

Patricia was very easy to work with. She had lots of ideas to help flesh out my vision. Her professionalism was refreshing, and I enjoyed working with her.
Amazing vision and imagination!!! Patricia was able to not only create the exact vision I had for my main character, but she was also extremely knowledgable when it came to brainstorming and creating additional images. Her attention to detail was outstanding and she often thought of adding elements that I would have not even thought of. Her professionalism and timliness made it a pleasure to work with her in making my story come to life.
This was the first book that I wrote and at the beginning the process was very overwhelming. When I was looking for an illustrator, I found Patricia’s illustrations and immediately fell in love with them. Not only did she work with me on taking my vision and creating beautiful illustrations, but she went above and beyond and offered me lots of advice on the book publishing process. She was very prompt with her communication and open to making any changes that I wanted to see. I then continued using her services to format and help me self publish my book. I would definitely recommend Patrica and I will use her again when I write my next book.
I absolutely loved working with Patricia! From day one she was professional and her work was always efficient, and beautiful. Patricia listened carefully to what I was wanting, making changes in a timely manner, and with accuracy. She made great, creative suggestions that worked well with my project and I appreciated her input and feedback. I have recommended her to others who have asked if I know a good illustrator and I will be working with Patricia again on my future books!
Patricia is not only an excellent illustrator who really cares about her art, but she is a great communicator and gets stuff done on time. As someone that can move very fast in life, I really appreciate her timeliness. She always gets the job done and gets it done right. She's also a very nice person! I would definitely work with her again
I am so proud of what I have been able to self-publish as an author and know that this is largely as a result of having such a strong collaborative working relationship with Patricia as my author. Her background, experience, expertise, talent and openness made the process, for me, as a first time self-published author less anxiety provoking and easier. She was incredibly fair from a pricing standpoint, listened to my hopes and ideas (even when they were difficult to articulate!), provided feedback and made recommendations where needed from the aesthetic point of view while adapting her creative process to mold my vision. I will definitely be working with Patricia again in the future and recommend her services for anyone interested in securing a reliable illustrator for their children's book!
I searched for weeks on Fivver looking for an illustrator for my children’s book. I gave up and went to one of my authors Facebook groups. I saw Patricia’s illustrations and I knew she was the one to make my book come alive. I had big dreams of diversity, inclusion, and representation for all children in my book. She was just as passionate. She took my ideas and created a masterpiece. The cover is beautiful and inviting. The details are skillfully placed. She was easy to work with and made any changes I needed. I am so grateful to have her work on my book. I’m looking forward to collaborating with Patricia again real soon.
Patricia’s gift of illustration truly captured the vision that I had for my children’s book. She was professional, efficient and a joy to work with. I am excited about publishing the book so the world can she!!! I highly recommend her!!!
I love every piece of work Patricia did (and will do) for me! She is an amazing artist who can actually illustrate what I have in my mind. If only I understood this talent. She is delightful, positive, quick and professional. I can speak from experience! She is absolutely amazing
What a fabulous illustrator! Super creative with absolutely beautiful work. The perfect illustrator for a first-time author as she’s so knowledgeable about the whole process. My favourite part was being able to give my ideas of what I could see - but not draw - and she brought it to life so perfectly. Will definitely work with her again.
What can I say about Patricia? She is one of the most talented and kindest people I have ever met in my life. She was hired in 2022 and we completed the project in 2024 and she was so patient with my timeline as my life changed and I had many halts during my project. She respected my vision and gave me everything I asked for and then some. She gave me some of the best creative liberties and worked so hard and I couldn’t be happier with the way it all turned out. I would hire her again and again and if you want the best and the most amazing person to work with, please choose Patricia Braga as your illustrator
Paty was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is creative and flexible. I shared my vision of the project with her and she did such an amazing job bringing my ideas to life. Paty was very willing to make adjustments and to also share her own ideas for how to improve the illustrations when it made sense to do so. I think her process flow is very efficient and provides a great balance between both author and illustrator. I would be more than happy to work with Paty again on another project!
I only have positive things to say about my experiences working with Patricia. We have done four books together now and the quality and creativity or her work is exceptional. She has fantastic attention to detail, and the imagery and scenes she draws up to bring my stories to life are spot-on to the descriptions I provide for her. At this point, I feel like she's reading my mind, and I love this about our work together! If you are looking for an illustrator who makes things simple, listens astutely, and provides top-notch service, look no further! Thank you, Patricia!
Patricia Braga is a talented and creative illustrator. She created vivid pictures full of vibrant colors in the water colour style I wanted. She was able to personify my animal characters with cute facial expressions. She was very responsive to my requests. She works quickly and was able to deliver beautiful illustrations that told my story. She understands the children's book niche and what the audience enjoys. I am very pleased with the final outcome!
As an new Indie author I consider myself very lucky to have come across Patricia Braga 's profile. Her creativity and attention to detail brought my vision to life in a way I couldn’t have imagined. She was incredibly patient, cooperative, and always willing to offer insightful guidance throughout the process. Her professionalism and dedication made the entire experience enjoyable. I highly recommend Patricia to anyone looking for a talented and passionate illustrator!
I’m commencing my testimonial by sharing that I’m an author who has always preferred illustrations created the ‘old fashioned way’. The texture and feel pen and pencil, oil, or watercolour emote, grab, then draw me in. In mid-2024, I was in need of an illustrator for a story requiring an artist with an ability to connect with characters - animals in particular - when I came across Patricia’s work of a fawn. The image immediately drew my attention. As it followed the butterfly with its eyes, it felt as though the fawn’s head was going to move at any moment. I loved Patricia’s use of colour, the texture she created and the life-like appearance of the deer. Finding her webpage, next in line to grab my attention was ‘Tree Frog’, a young ‘Predator Feline’, and ‘Flight of the Magic Owl’ to name a few. To say the least, I was won over and made contact. An initial Zoom session later, we had agreed that Patricia would do one image of my choosing to ensure it was what I was looking for, and to determine we could work together. The answer was ‘yes’ and ‘yes’. It’s a decision I haven’t regretted. The illustrations have taken eight months to complete, and it’s been worth every bit of that time. With each image, Patricia would confirm what was required and wasn’t afraid to ask for clarification. Over the months, we have both learned to understand what the other was wanting to achieve. Turning out to be a bit more complicated than planned when written, Patricia was also more than happy to go ‘with the flow’, as slight alterations were made here and there, and we worked together to create this, as of yet, unnamed frog’s tale. What I now have, is a story with illustrations that bring it to life beyond my wildest imagining. Now to wait until 2026, when the story is released to the world. With no hesitation, I am looking forward to working with Patricia in the future and highly recommend her as an illustrator and artist.
